For many years along with the Mervyn's store on Ray Road. Kiwanis of Ahwatukee, as well as Sun Lakes Charities provides funds to give underprivileged children a shopping spree for school clothes. Each child has $100 to spend. Mervyn's provides some funds as well and also discounts everything to the event. Each child also receives a back pack with school supplies and breakfast that morning.
