Festival of Lights - Lights Removal
daterange:
Jan 6 2008 - 9:00am - Jan 6 2008 - 3:00pm
What to Bring: GLOVES!!! And wear sunscreen too. Bring a ladder if you can easily transport it and when we meet at 9a, we can see how many we have and if all will be needed. We remove everything from about 6' and below, the installers will take the really tall stuff down with cherry-pickers the following week.
We'll provide water and sodas along the route and a pizza lunch for those who work hard all morning (translation: please don't show up at 1pm just in time to eat!).
If you can't make the whole day, no worries, every little bit helps. And if you can't make it at all, that's okay too, just pass this email along to anyone you think might be able to help or anyone who might need community service hours (yes, you can earn hours!). Middle-schoolers need to have a guardian present with them in the medians, high-schoolers are fine by themselves. Please no grade-schoolers for safety reasons.
Over the past couple years, we've had a great turnout for this day (50-60 people) and have finished the job in about 5-6 hours. The more people we have, the quicker we get done!
